Monmouth County Prosecutor’s seek additional information on Keyport man who raped woman at gunpoint
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is seeking additional information on any and all activity related to the case against a Keyport man who raped a woman at gunpoint at a Tinton Falls motel this summer.
Kareem Lee, 31, of Keyport was arrested and charged with first-degree Armed Robbery, first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and two second-degree weapons offenses after he sexually assaulted a woman at a motel on Route 33 in Tinton Falls on the afternoon of July 21, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.
Tinton Falls Police spoke to the victim that day, around 2:30 pm, and she informed them of what had just occurred there.
An investigation run by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office SVB and Tinton Falls Police led to Lee being identified as the suspect, the MCPO said, and he was found over in Count Basie Park in Red Bank by borough police in that municipality on July 22 and arrested.
This week, Lee was indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury for raping a woman at gunpoint in a Tinton Falls motel room.
Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said that his office though is still looking for more information about Lee's activities.

Acting Prosecutor Santiago said that this case is assigned to Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki, Director of the Special Victims Bureau.
Lee remains inside a cell at the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in Freehold pending future court proceedings.
