Let's talk milkshakes, because there's a milkshake place getting ready to open its first New Jersey location, and it may blow your mind.

Milkshakes are one of my absolute favorite treats, especially if there's a side of hot, salty fries that I can dip into the shake while enjoying it.

However, I've been really trying to watch what I eat the past few years, and the only milkshakes I have anymore are the ones I make at home with whey protein, almond milk, ice, and a small tablespoon of peanut butter.

It's not nearly as exciting as what's getting ready to come to New Jersey.

If you're not familiar with the Milkshake Factory, it's likely because they don't have any New Jersey locations.

But the history behind this chain is pretty cool. The family that started the business back in 1912 was chocolatiers, then in the 50s they moved into the soda fountain business, while maintaining chocolate roots, which led them to open a chocolate factory in the 70s.

From there, the Milkshake Factory was born, at least that's the abridged version.

What Is The Milkshake Factory Known For?

The Milkshake Factory specializes in over-the-top milkshakes that are thick, creamy, and made with high-quality ingredients.

According to their website, the Milkshake Factory is now getting ready to branch into New Jersey.

Where Is The Milkshake Factory Opening In New Jersey?

They have locations preparing to open in three cities in Jersey: Florham Park, Downtown Jersey City, and another location in Somerville.

Milkshake Factory's website says all of these locations are coming soon, and I think they'll make a nice addition to a state that takes its desserts pretty seriously.
