A Manchester man will spend the next decade in prison and have 5-years of parole ineligibility on the 2nd degree crime of distributing child porn, announced Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.

Prosecutors say 64-year old Lawrence Fascia will also be subject to Megan's Law and parole supervision for life upon his release.

Fascia was arrested in 2016 after the lewd images were found on his computer and in his emails.

His charges stem from a 2016 investigation where a referral was received by the Ocean County Prosecutor's High Tech Crime Unit from a technical support person who remoted into Fascia's computer, after he requested their assistance.

The technician then saw items indicative of child pornography.

A subsequent search warrant of his accounts and of his residence led detectives to locate images of child pornography and emails in which Fascia was trading child pornography with others.

Fascia has a prior conviction for both Distribution of Child Pornography 2nd degree and Filming/Photographing a Child, Reproduction of Child Pornography 2nd degree from 2003 therefore making him mandatory extended term.
