I LOVE Long Branch And Found Myself Having To Defend It

Long Branch has long been a favorite spot for my family and friends to meet up and make some memories. It has had such a glow-up in the past couple of years yet I feel like it still doesn't get it's props. I told someone that is where we were hanging out for Father's Day and I got an eyebrow raise. Really?!? I freaking LOVE it there. Here are just a few reasons you should too!

Long Branch is filled with so many fun things to do, it has amazingly good food and some of the best beaches around. Here are some awesome ideas for you and your family to take in the next time you are there! Enjoy and if you see me make sure to say hi! xo

The Beach: Enjoy the beaches. I swim here all summer and love every minute. There is over two miles of shoreline.

Eat Up: Eat at one of my favorite restaurants! They are all great...we frequent McLoons b/c of the view and the raw menu. Pier Village offers something for everyone (including desert).

Go To The Theatre: Take the kids to the Monmouth University Children’s Theatre! Kids love watching other kiddos.

Free Music: Catch live tunes oceanside with the FREE summer concert series Thursdays by the Sea at Pier Village. We love this one! Did you see I wrote FREE? Now you have more money for food :-)

Eat Again: Still hungry? You have to try a slice at Nunzio’s Pizzeria on Westwood Avenue. Nunzio is my husband's grandfather's name so we had to try it and now we are hooked.

Play At The Park: Spend the day at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, hitting the beach to play in the surf and sand; enjoy the adjacent playground. Little ones love this place.

Eat Again...This Time Tacos: Surf Taco is amazing if you want to mix it up. Can you tell I love food?

Get Patriotic: Don't miss the annual Fourth of July Oceanfest, one of the state's largest fireworks events!

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
