Happy birthday to John Fogerty, who was born on May 28, 1945 in Berkeley, California, and who has released his new album today, Wrote a Song for Everyone.

According to ultimateclassicrock.com, John teamed up with other heavyweights for the new album, where he revisits quite a few hits he wrote for Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Those heavyweights include Foo Fighters and Bob Seger.

As for reuniting with his old band mates in CCR?

He quotes yet another heavyweight and makes reference to the death of his brother, Tom (rhythm guitarist for CCR), who passed away in 1990.

George Harrison had an interesting statement about reunions,” he observes. “The same statement works for me: There can be no reunion as long as Tom is dead.

Check out the first track off the album that was released last week, "Mystic Highway"!
