Jersey Mikes Hits Goal Raises Millions For Kids In Need

So how does is feel to be so AWESOME? I mean, WOW!!!!! Way to go Jersey Mike's Subs...and you rock Jersey! We're so proud of Jersey Mike's Founder & CEO, Peter Cancro, and all the hungry Jersey customers who supported their month of giving to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation. Jersey raised one million dollars which will help make sick children have their dreams come true!

We had Peter on the Jersey Shore Morning Show to spread the message out about his goal of hitting 1M dollars in Jersey for the kids and we were hopeful, but not totally sure New Jersey would hit that goal. We asked you to make donations to Make-A-Wish New Jersey through the Jersey Mike's mobile app or at the shop of your choice and man did you show up! Over 90 local Jersey Mike's locations donated 100 percent of the day's sales and they hit the goal!

Nationwide, Jersey Mikes raised 15 million dollars (they have locations in 49 states). These fundraising totals are double that of 2019, and which is truly a testament since we were dealing with a global pandemic! You all bought subs for your family, friends, other businesses and you came out in droves to make extra donations and it paid off! The $1 Million that came from Jersey will grant wishes of 100 children in New Jersey dealing with life threatening illnesses.

Jersey Mike's Subs partnered with Make-A-Wish New Jersey to deliver a surprise wish to 11-year-old boy named Victor from Metuchen, Victor, who just two finished his medical treatments for rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the soft tissue, wished for a shopping spree in particular, an Xbox Series X. He was floored when he got his very own! Victor also received an additional controller, a wireless gaming headset, new video games, an iPhone 12 Pro Max and case, a gift card to GameStop, and some new pairs of sneakers. Jersey Mike's of Metuchen, led by Franchisee Chris Rigassio, enhanced his wish experience by gifting Victor a hard drive to expand the storage of his new gaming console, a battery pack to ensure uninterrupted game play, V-Bucks to spend in one of his favorite games Fortnite and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
