
JCP+L Investigating Cause Of Overnight Outage
Rumors circulating on social media sites this morning that JCP&L’S power problems were caused by an issue at the Oyster Creek nuclear power plant are not true. A plant spokesperson tells us the Lacey facility automatically went offline when the off-site power went off. There was and is no public health risk.
Meanwhile, JCP+L is investigating the cause of the outage that left 19,000 in the dark from Toms River down to Barnegat. Most service has been restored according to the JCP+L outage map
