Jackson student facing “disciplinary action” for bringing BB gun to class

A student at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Jackson is facing disciplinary action after a teacher found him in possession of a weapon during roll call Monday morning, according to school officials in a statement addressed to parents.

The student was immediately removed from the room ahead of police arrival.

A police and school investigation discovered it was a BB gun the child had borrowed from a friend over the weekend.
