
15 Arrested in One Weekend in One South Jersey Municipality
- Washington Township Police handled over 400 calls this past weekend
- Officers made 15 arrests, ranging from warrants to DWIs
- A crash, a domestic dispute, and drug charges were among the cases
Busy Weekend for Washington Township Police
It was another busy weekend for police officers in one South Jersey municipality.
As they do at the beginning of every week, the Washington Township Police Department took to Facebook to post a summary of what their officers encountered over the previous weekend.
From roughly Friday through Sunday, August 22nd through 24th, their officers answered over 400 calls for service, along with the following:
- 129 motor vehicle stops
- 7 motor vehicle crash investigations
- 25 vacation house checks
- 1 shoplifting call
- Two 9-1-1 calls from Jefferson Hospital
15 Arrested in South Jersey
They also arrested the following 15 people:
- A man from Pleasantville was arrested for a warrant during a motor vehicle stop
- A man from Collegeville, PA, who was wanted out of Montgomery County, PA, was arrested and also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (crack pipe). He was turned over to the Salem County Jail
- A Voorhees man was arrested on a warrant during a motor vehicle stop
- A Philadelphia woman was arrested on a warrant during a motor vehicle stop
Arrest
- While investigating a suspicious person at New Wave Pizza, a person from Cherry Hill was arrested on a no-bail warrant out of the Camden County Sheriff's Department
- A man from Atco was arrested for a warrant during a traffic stop
- A Williamstown woman was arrested on warrants during a traffic stop
- A man from Turnersville was arrested on a no-bail warrant for a restraining order violation
- A man from Gloucester City was arrested on a warrant out of Voorhees
- A 20-year-old Sewell man was arrested after he crashed into yards along Egg Harbor Road near Acme. His vehicle struck a telephone pole and multiple sections of fence. He was charged with DWI

- A woman from Egg Harbor City was arrested on a $750 warrant out of Atlantic County
- A man from West Deptford was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle stop at Egg Harbor and Pembrook
- A man from Turnersville was arrested for DWI following a traffic stop
- Both a man and a woman were arrested and charged with assault following a domestic dispute.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
