Stabbing Suspect in Atlantic City, NJ, Arrested After Claiming To Be Witness

Authorities in Atlantic City say they arrested a suspect for stabbing a man after he allegedly told police that he witnessed a robbery.

At about 4:45 this past Monday afternoon, ACPD officers responded to an apartment complex in the first block of South Iowa Avenue about a man who had been stabbed.

There, police located a 45-year-old victim while a resident, 36-year-old Nicholas Hall, was attempting to render aid to the victim.

At the scene, Hall allegedly told police he witnessed the victim being robbed, however, an investigation determined that Hall had stabbed the victim after the two became involved in a dispute.

Hall was located inside of an apartment and taken into custody. He was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest.

The victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Hall has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
