
NJ Fugitive Wanted on ‘Many serious warrants’ Arrested in Atlantic County

Fugitive Captured in Atlantic County
A dangerous fugitive is off the streets of the Garden State thanks to the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say around 6:00 Thursday evening, August 14th, several ACSO detectives apprehended Keith Merendino.
"Many serious warrants"
Merendino was wanted on "many serious warrants," including, but not limited to, several counts of theft by unlawful taking, several counts of possession of CDS, hindering apprehension, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal intent, and burglary.
According to the sheriff's office, at the time of his arrest on those warrants, Merendino allegedly had 522 wax folds of suspected heroin, 0.36 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, 0.08 ounces of suspected cocaine, and over $10,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Additional Charges Filed
In addition to those warrants, Merendino has now been charged with the following:
- Possession of CDS/Analog
- Manufacturing and distributing CDS
- Use with possession and attempt to distribute
Following his arrest, he was lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
