One of the longtime owner's of the legendary Tony's Baltimore Grill in Atlantic City has died at the age of 67.

Michael Anthony Tarsitano was the grandson of Giuseppe Tarsitano, the founder of the famed Tony's Baltimore Grill on Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City, Press of Atlantic City reports.

Michael was a manager at Harrah's Atlantic City before taking over for his parents at the restaurant in the 1990's.  In 2019, he went into teaching at Atlantic City Community Charter School, according to a post on the Tony's Baltimore Grill Facebook page.

The End of an Era

Tony's Baltimore Grill broke the sad news Wednesday that Michael passed away Monday, January 8th at the age of 67 as they paid tribute to him on social media.

He Was an Animal Lover

In lieu of flowers, The Tarsitano Family has asked for donations in honor of Michael be made to Atlantic County SPCA.

Services for Michael Tarsitano will be private, according to Press of Atlantic City, and are being held this Saturday at Laurel Memorial Park in EHT.

The Tarsitano Family, Michael included, are just a legendary to the landscape of Atlantic City as the restaurant, Tony's Baltimore Grill, that it brought to life. It remains an absolute institution, and we share our deepest condolences with Michael's family and the entire restaurant staff. He'll be missed but remembered as part of Baltimore Grill's legacy.
