The search goes on for Benjamin "BJ." Beason, a Middle Township man who went missing almost two years ago.

The finding of human remains in Whitesboro, Middle Township, last week has some people wondering if it could be his body.

Investigators say they are working to identify the deceased person, but no identification has been made yet.

What We Know About Benjamin Beason

Benjamin Beason, 42, had several interactions with the law over the years, mostly related to drug use.

In 2021, he was one of five people arrested at a home in Villas, where police investigated after complaints about drug use.

Another man in the home, Claudio-Reyes, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, oxycodone, heroin, cocaine, and other charges, and the house was deemed uninhabitable.

Beason was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

There are stories of him committing petty theft to get money for drugs.

But I also see comments online from many people who care about him and are hoping he is found so that family and loved ones can, at the very least, have some closure about what happened to him.

Benjamin Beason's Disappearance

According to police accounts about his disappearance, Beason was last seen in May 2024 in Middle Township.

He was contacted via text by a family member on May 12th, 2024. He was reportedly seen the next day at about 11:30 am, being dropped off by two people in a vehicle at the Home Depot in Cape May Court House.

That was the last time he was seen.

Benjamin Beason's Description

Beason is a white male, 6' 2" tall, weighing between 170 and 190 pounds. His natural hair color is brown, but he was bald at the time of his disappearance. He has blue eyes and a goatee. He has a tattoo on his arm reading "South Philly".

In the days before he disappeared, he was seen in a video wearing black and white Nike shoes.

A similar shoe, along with a hat he wore, was later found behind the Cape May Court House Home Depot after he disappeared.
