We call it many things.  Fornicate, Intercourse, Getting Busy, Doing the Horizontal Hustle, and more.

No matter what you call it, it's a natural thing that's a part of life.

Urge to Merge

Sometimes the urge to merge comes at an inconvenient time.  People have been known to get it on in unusual places.

One of the most common places people have been known to knock boots is the car.

Granted, it was probably easier back in the day when cars were built bigger, but I suppose where there's a will, there's a way.

What if you get caught in the act?  It can be embarrassing hearing a cop tapping your window with his flashlight- at least that's what I hear.

But is it illegal in New Jersey?

Car Sex Illegal in NJ

According to Section: 2C:14-4: Lewdness,

A person commits a disorderly persons offense if he does any flagrantly lewd and offensive act which he knows or reasonably expects is likely to be observed by other nonconsenting persons who would be affronted or alarmed.

What's more, it can become an even more serious issue if that act takes place where there's a chance a child may reasonably be expected to see it.

Back in the day, we used to laugh about our time in the backseat, but today in New Jersey, it can mess up your life in a big way.

If you are convicted of this charge, you face up to six months in jail, a $1,000 fine, and suspension of your license for up to two years.
