Bernadette Peters to Perform With Ocean City Pops

One of Broadway's most popular and critically acclaimed performers will join the Ocean City Pops at their season-opening concert this summer.

Bernadette Peters, nicknamed "The Queen of Broadway", will be featured at the Ocean City Music Pier concert on Sunday, June 30. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 10.

"The Queen of Broadway" is Coming to Ocean City

Bernadette Peters has had a remarkable career. After starting as a child actor, she caught the attention of audiences in the ensemble of a touring company of Gypsy at age 13 and she's been at it ever since.

Peters has been nominated for seven Tony Awards, winning two, and eight Drama Desk Awards, winning three.

She has also been nominated for three Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards, winning once. Then, there are the movies she's starred in, including The Jerk, Silent Movie, Annie, and Pennies From Heaven.

Since Peters will be showcasing her singing at her Ocean City show this summer,  let's talk about Bernadette, the singer.

Four of the Broadway cast albums on which she has starred have won Grammy Awards.

Peters’ collaboration with Stephen Sondheim has brought us some of her most memorable performances, including roles in “Sunday in the Park with George” and “Follies.

Recently, she has been starring on Broadway as Dolly Gallagher Levi in the hit musical, Hello, Dolly!
