A Toms River man is arrested on charges including burglary and theft after police in Stafford said that he unlawfully entered into the Universal Supply Company on East Bay Avenue in the Manahawkin section of town and stole more than $38,000 in building materials.
Toms River man cased out Manahawkin business for over a month
Through their investigation, Stafford Police said that they learned Jesse Vonderlinden, 39, of Toms River allegedly went to the business multiple times over the course of a month between January 13 and February 11, which is the day they got a call.
A warrant was then issued for his arrest which took place on Wednesday, February 15, after Universal Supply Company's owner informed police that Vonderlinden was spotted on surveillance cameras they had set up.
Police said when they arrived, Vonderlinden was spotted leaving the area in his vehicle.

He was then arrested on charges of multiple counts of Burglary, Criminal Attempt of Theft, and Criminal Mischief, processed and then brought to the Ocean County Jail.
