On average, people in the United States eat around 20 pounds of pasta per year. I may push that more towards 30 lol. I love all kinds of pasta, and currently, I love my wife's pesto sauce over linguine! Absolutely fantastic!

According to the national publication Lovefood, they came up with their latest list of the "Best Pasta in America". An impressive list of the best recipes from restaurants in all 50 states.

The Lovefood article opened by saying, "Whether it's a creamy carbonara or spaghetti in silky red sauce, there are times when nothing but a big bowl of pasta will do. To help fuel your comfort food cravings, we've found the best places around the US to get your pasta fix."

Where Is The Best Pasta In New Jersey?

According to Lovefood, Jersey's best pasta dish is at Paisano's in Rutherford, New Jersey. Their take on the dish, pappardelle rustica, was named the best pasta dish, and it sounds delicious.

Pappardelle rustica is described as a cozy, hearty pasta made with wide noodles tossed in a chunky sauce, usually with things like sausage, mushrooms, and tomatoes. It’s rich, comforting, and feels like classic homemade Italian comfort food.

Lovefood said, "Offering a range of Northern and Southern Italian dishes, Paisano's always serves up something delicious. The standout, however, is the pappardelle rustica. The pasta is light and perfectly al dente, while the hearty old-style Bolognese sauce with a touch of cream has a wonderful depth of flavor. It's the ultimate comfort food."
