Tim Hortons, the well-known Canadian coffeehouse and restaurant chain, is making its way deeper into Ocean County and will soon call Forked River home, according to njbiz.com.

The move marks another step in Tim Hortons’ expansion across New Jersey, following several North Jersey locations and its growing presence in the Garden State.

The latest update comes from The Goldstein Group, which announced earlier this week that the brand has secured the former White Castle site at 245 N. Main Street (Rt. 9) in Forked River.

A Canadian Favorite Finds a New Audience

If the name Tim Hortons doesn’t ring a bell, you’re not alone. While hugely popular in Canada, and a daily staple for millions there, the chain is still relatively new to many New Jersey residents.

Think of it as a cozy mix of classic coffee shop, breakfast stop, and quick-service eatery. They’re famous for their fresh coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and, of course, the fan-favorite Timbits, which are similar to Dunkin’s Munchkins.

Sweet, bite-sized, and dangerously addictive, Timbits are a major part of the Tim Hortons culture. And yes, just the name alone makes them sound pretty delicious.

The Location: A Perfect Fit

The upcoming Forked River site spans 2,000 square feet and features one major perk: a drive-thru. That alone is likely to make it a hot spot for commuters, early birds, and anyone looking for a quick caffeine fix along Route 9.

Positioned across from Home Depot and Kohl’s, the location sits in a busy corridor that sees steady traffic, ideal for a brand looking to make a strong first impression in the area.

When Will It Open?

As of now, there’s no confirmed opening date. Construction timelines and renovations haven’t been announced, but the confirmation alone has already stirred plenty of excitement.

After sitting vacant for nearly a year, the building is finally getting a new life, and a popular international brand to go with it.

A Fresh Option for Ocean County

One thing’s for sure, Route 9 mornings are about to get a whole lot busier.
