One of My Favorite NJ Bagel Shops Just Ranked #2 in the State

If you live in New Jersey, you know bagels are basically part of our DNA. There’s just something about a Jersey bagel that people who move away can’t stop talking about.

I have friends who leave the state and the first thing they ask when someone visits is, “Can you bring bagels?” It happens all the time.

So when I saw the new list from nj.com ranking the best bagels in the Garden State for 2026, I was curious to see who made the cut. New Jersey has no shortage of incredible bagel spots, so landing anywhere near the top is a huge deal.

I was thrilled to see one of my personal favorites, JT's Bagel Hut, ranked #2 best bagels in all of New Jersey.

Honestly? In my opinion, they should have been number one. But hey, number two in a state that takes bagels as seriously as we do is still pretty amazing. If we ask our 92.7 WOBM listers, JT's Bagel Hut is always on top of the list.

There’s one item that always stands out to me: the French Toast Bagel.

If you’ve never tried it, trust me, you’re missing out. It’s sweet, soft, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Toast it up with some butter or cream cheese and it’s one of those bagels you think about long after you finish eating it.

It’s the kind of thing that makes you say, “Yep… this is why New Jersey does bagels better than anywhere else.”

Bagels are serious business here in New Jersey. Whether it’s the water, the technique, or just decades of tradition, nobody does them quite like the Garden State.

So congratulations to JT's Bagel Hut for earning the #2 spot on the list of best bagels in New Jersey. That’s a huge accomplishment.

And if you ask me, they’re still #1 in my book.
