Greatest 'Mom And Pop' Restaurant In New Jersey
When I hear "Mom and Pop" restaurant I think of comfort food and friendly old-fashioned service. The kind of place that is welcoming and warm and may even have a fireplace burning during the cold winter months. I also think the establishment has been family-owned and operated and probably has a menu that shows this kind of business.

In today's business world, I feel like we see less of these "Mom and Pop" restaurants and more of chain operations. I don't mind some of the chain eateries, but I also like some good old-time "Mom and Pop" restaurants. But competition is tough and so is making a buck for the Mom and Pop establishments.
According to Lovefood, "For comforting food and service with a smile, you just can't get any better than a family-run restaurant. Whether it's a classic diner dishing up all-day breakfasts or a homey Italian with a menu of traditional favorites, there are plenty of excellent mom-and-pop restaurants throughout the country."
As for New Jersey, Lovefood selected a restaurant in Morris County. Boniello's in Riverdale was the restaurant chosen as the "Best Mom & Pop" establishment in the Garden State.
The Lovefood Review of Boniello's
"You can barely move in New Jersey for traditional restaurants dealing in good old-fashioned Italian American cooking – and Boniello's is one of the best. As the sign on the door says, it's all about food, friends, and family here. There's a generously sized menu packed out with all the classics, from angel hair primavera to linguine with clams. However, fans say you shouldn't miss the chicken vodka sliders: breaded chicken doused in house-made vodka sauce and tucked into garlicky buns."
