Drake Bell was born in 1986 in Orange County, he started acting as a little kid, then picked up guitar after hanging out with Roger Daltrey on a movie set.

On Drake & Josh he basically played a rocker version of himself and wrote the theme song. He’s dropped albums since the mid-2000s—starting with Telegraph, then It’s Only Time, some rockabilly stuff later, and more recent releases too. Bell still does both acting and music.

His most recent album is Non Stop Flight which came out in 2024. It was a huge project for Bell that took about three years.

Non-Stop Flight is a big concept record he released after working on it for a few years. It’s got about 35 tracks and feels like an old-school airplane ride from the 1960s Pan Am era, with Drake guiding you through his personal story of escaping Hollywood, dealing with loss, and finding some hope at the end.

House of Independents is this cool multi-level spot on Cookman Avenue right in downtown Asbury Park. It opened up in late 2015 and pretty quickly became the place for punk, alternative, local bands, comedy, and all sorts of random fun events.

A bad flood in 2023 shut it down for a bit, but Concert Crave bought the business, fixed everything up, and got it running again in summer 2024.
