The VMAs were pretty amazing last night! The Prudential Center was literally crawling with celebrities.  Everywhere you looked there was a limo, a red carpet moment, and you just felt the 'big energy' in the air.  I’m super nosey so I was watching all the behind the scenes stuff and it is pretty cool what you can learn being a fly on the wall.

I got to bring my daughter, Bella to the show which was exciting for us both.

What I really noticed was that Nicki Minaj was a boss.  When she was on camera she hit her mark. When she was off camera she asked for what she wanted and told people what needed to happen. She took direction too, which is the mark of a real pro. So fun to watch.  This was a sneak peak at her set before she performed.

We were in a perfect spot to watch the “celebrity pit” where all the famous peeps come to watch their friends.  Fergie was the big deal there since she has not performed live in a really long time.  She sat in the celeb pit after Jack Harlow brought her on for a surprise performance of "First Class" and it killed.  Once they went to commercial break and she went to sit down the stadium started chanting her name.

Lizzo was second to hit the stage and her performance was killer which I'm sure you saw at home.  When it came time for her to accept her “Video For Good”  award she got the standing O…she said she was not going to respond to her haters with a clap back but instead she would feel OK with reminding them that she is winning!

I was really excited for Snoop and Eminem, that was sadly a non performance in my opinion. They did a short live open and short live close and then some sort of a meta vid in the middle. Maybe it was cool to watch at home but in person it was lame.  They are so flipping talented and I wanted to see them not some weird cartoon.

We wanted to see them perform, at least I did, my daughter was like Em who?  I get it, L.L. Cool J, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop and Eminem were supposed to be for me, and everyone else was supposed to be for my daughter's age group but honestly, I loved it all!

I was not working the event, I was there as a fan and it was so fun to be able to bring my daughter and spend time with her instead of running around getting interviews (although I love doing that too).

Harry was at MSG, not with us but he did a thank you vid message for winning the Best Pop category. Song of the year went to Billie Eilish, one of our major artists and she deserved it. Artist of the Year went to Bad Bunny.  I'm going to have to watch it on TV now to see how similar it was to watching the live version. I just wanted to share these pics with you guys! xo
