Prom season is right around the corner here in New Jersey.

I was recently reminded of that when I asked my friend if her daughter was starting to think about what type of dress she wanted for prom, and she said she already picked it out!!

My son is going to the prom this year, too, but I guess when you're just picking out a tuxedo, there's not as much pressure to start shopping early.

It's obviously a lot more difficult to find the perfect dress, so it makes sense that the shopping has already begun in New Jersey!

There's a lot to do! The flowers, transportation, the tickets, and of course, the dress. So just how obsessed are we about the prom here in New Jersey?

Turns out, we're not in the top 10.

According to new data from Amarra, the most prom-obsessed states include:

1. New York

2. California

3. Texas

4. Florida

5. Vermont

6. Wyoming

7. North Dakota

8. Delaware

9. Alaska

10. South Dakota

The study analyzed Google search trends, including “prom dress,” “best prom dress styles,” and “best prom dress stores.”

Turns out, New Jersey came in at #21, with over 382,000 total searches. 

Prom will be here soon in New Jersey, bringing excitement for teens and families as they get ready for the big night!
