We were raised to think that we lived in the pizza capital of the world here in New Jersey, but if you look at it from a statistical standpoint, that doesn't really hold up.

It turns out New Jersey is not the pizza capital of the world after all. If you really look at the statistics, we are far from the top of the list of pizza places per capita. Doesn't that absolutely shock you? It shocked us.

So, the data was compiled by Rob's Link, and there is a list of the states with the most pizza places per 10,000 residents in each state, you would think New Jersey would easily top that list.

After all, there seem to be two great pizza joints at every single corner here in the Garden State. and that's a wonderful thing. But with the population being what it is in the state, our pizza joints per 10,000 residents.

Would you believe New Jersey barely makes the top 10 in this category? That is really shocking. It turns out we have a touch over 3 pizza joints per 10,000 residents in the Garden State.

The top state in this category is New Hampshire, with 3.4 pizza places for 10,000 of its residents.

None of this, of course, takes into account the taste and quality of the pizza, and I think we all think the Garden State pizza is head and shoulders above the rest, but I guess that's not for this discussion.
