Hundreds of votes later we have a winner for the best Chinese food in Toms River.

At least once a week we get Chinese food and it never disappoints. It's becoming more and more popular for holidays as a choice for family dinners or get-togethers. Chinese is easy and fast and you can get it delivered if you don't even feel like going out. It's a great take-out quick Friday night dinner for the family and a great idea for a holiday dinner.

Last week I asked on Facebook for the "best" Chinese food in Toms River. We had so many different Chinese restaurants I didn't even know about.

In Ocean County, Chinese food is so popular. It's the number 2 place to choose a Friday or Saturday night family dinner, next to pizza. And it's funny when we have people over no matter what, everyone has a favorite Chinese restaurant.

Our Chinese restaurant knows what we get when they see our phone number come in, do you think we eat there too much? BBQ boneless spare ribs, pork fried rice, chicken Lo Mein, and of course, 2 egg rolls.

LOOK: See America's 50 Best Beach Towns

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
