Wall Township Police have arrested a man who allegedly broke into the West Belmar School and ended up falling asleep in the boiler room.

Officers responded to West Belmar School just after 6:00 am on Thursday morning and found William Ramsey, 31, Middleburg, Florida sleeping in the boiler room.

Police said that Ramsey forced entry into the boiler room exterior door, fell asleep and remained there until officers arrived.

While police say Ramsey appeared intoxicated, he has been fully cooperative with their investigation.

Ramsey was arrested without incident and before students arrived at school.

He was then charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Criminal Mischief.

Wall Police and Wall Township Public Schools worked cooperatively to investigate the report of a suspicious person at West Belmar School.
