Help Out Today on "Giving Tuesday"

"Giving Tuesday" is today, which is traditionally celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.

Last year, a $117 million dollars was raised last year for "Giving Tuesday"

Our sister stations 92.7 WOBM & 94.3 The Point are getting involved in #Giving Tuesday.

Morning Show hosts, Shawn & Sue from 92.7 WOBM-FM, are raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Specialized Hospital of Toms River.

They are broadcasting live from 5am till 5pm with the goal of raising $20,000. The live broadcast takes place at the IHOP on Route 88 in Brick Township. You can stop by the Ihop in person to make a donation, or click here to donate online.

Also....Our sister station 94.3 The Point is broadcasting live from the legendary Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank today from 5:30am-8pm to help raise funds to underwrite the 2017 sensory friendly series, which will present sensory-friendly performances for children with Autism and their families. $2 of every ticket sold for any upcoming show at The Basie will be donated to POAC. Their goal is to raise $50,000 for the Count Basie Theatre
