Help A Toms River Couple Find A Lost Engagement Ring

Eric Thiel of Toms River proposed to his girlfriend on Christmas Eve - she said yes!

On Saturday, January 3rd, his girlfriend was working out at Planet Fitness on Fischer Boulevard, and removed her ring to wash her hands. She forgot to put the ring back on, but by the time she realized and went back, the ring was already gone.

Thiel has taken to Facebook to share pictures of the ring and ask for help recovering it.

Some people are giving the fiancee a hard time, saying she shouldn't have taken off the ring...but honestly, I take my wedding ring off every time I shower because the soapy water makes it slide off my finger. Rather than fight with it or keep picking it up off the floor or out of the drain, I just place it on the sink.

According to Patch, the couple have filed a police report, searched the facility, and are checking pawn shops.
