Harvey Cedars Bans Plastic Bags
This summer, you won't be seeing any plastic bags around Harvey Cedars.
An ordinance has been adopted by the Harvey Cedars Borough Commission that will keep businesses from using single-use plastic carryout bags.
According to borough clerk Daina Dale, customers will need to bring their own reusable bags, or pay a fee for recycled paper bags.

Long Beach Township had already established a similar ban last year, and Harvey Cedars modeled their rules after that.
