Usually, I am writing about french fries, pork roll sandwiches, ice cream, and pretty much everything else that is not healthy. So for this article, I am throwing you a curveball and I am writing about raspberries. It's beach season, I can't have you looking and feeling like garbage... LET'S EAT SOME FRUIT!

Did you know eating raspberries helps improve your digestive health, reduces inflammation, boosts your immune system, and prevents cancer? Eating raspberries also improves your memory, weight management, bone strength, skin health, and vision. If that doesn't make you want to eat raspberries then I don't know what will!

Most importantly, this Saturday, June 12th is opening day at Happy Day Farm and you can pick your own raspberries! This weekend's weather forecast is looking nice, so this will be a perfect summer day with friends and family. For just $3 (cash only), you'll be able to make your way through the raspberry field. Happy Day Farm has 2 different size clamshells for picking, $4 (1/2 pound) and/or $6 (1 pound). The farm will open from 8 am - 3 pm and the last ticket will be sold at 2:30 pm. Fresh squeezed lemonade and shaved ices will be available to purchase. The farm's goats and chickens will also be available for feeding!

From Happy Day Farm:

We grow four different varieties of raspberries on four acres of the farm. Please keep in mind that not all varieties are available all season long. We’ll provide you with clamshells to take your bounty home. Clamshells must be fully sealed or you will be required to purchase an additional tray upon exit. Since raspberry picking conditions vary based on weather and crop availability, please always check our website or social media pages on the day of your planned visit to ensure the farm is open for picking.

Happy Day Farm is located at 106 Iron Ore Road, Manalapan NJ 07726 - Follow them on Facebook & Instagram! Don't forget U-Pick Sunflowers will start on July 3rd!
