Jim Messina turned 64 yesterday, born on December 5, 1947 in Maywood, California.

His musical legacy, besides being half of Loggins and Messina, of course, includes being a member of folk rock legend Buffalo Springfield as well as a founding member of country rock pioneer Poco.

Jim went solo in 1979 and continues to tour and make records as a solo artist.
