THE SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY, MARCH 12TH

The House of Independents in Asbury Park has been my spot in 2021. Back in August, I saw an epic Recess Radio concert. The dudes from Wall Township put together a very fun show, I highly recommend giving Recess Radio a listen...

Back in October, I also saw a wild Comeback Kid concert. It was a hardcore show, with mosh pits, and my one friend tried doing a stage-dive, no one caught him... he literally landed head first on the concrete floor. Luckily, his head is made out of concrete. Sorry, Skyler, I had to throw that in here. Haha!

As you can probably tell, I enjoy all genres of music...

But yeah, The House of Independents is an awesome local venue and I am really looking forward to seeing a few shows there in 2022...

One show, in particular, is the Halogens concert on January 7th. I'm trying not to go all fanboy when I write this, but Halogens has been one of my favorite bands since 2016. George Saives, the talented drummer of the band says,

"Our music is fun, upbeat, and experimental with outside genres. Our lyrics really hone in on the singer/songwriter aspect and the listeners’ connection with our lyrics because our true mission is to help our listeners recognize that we all experience very similar struggles."

I couldn't agree more with George!

On January 7th, the Asbury Park band will headline an album release show for their new LP "You're Being Weird". This is probably their best work yet and I am chomping at the bit to see these songs get played live. I enjoy all 11 songs but the one below is today's favorite...

Once again, the Halogens show will be on Friday, January 7th, 2022 at the House of Independents in Asbury Park. It's a great opportunity for you to check out talented local musicians at a fun local venue. You really can't beat it!

LATEWAVES, Sentient Moss, and Little Hag will get the night started. Doors open at 7 pm and general admission is $15. Get your tickets HERE or at the door. HOI requires all attendees to be fully vaccinated COVID-19, or present a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the show date.

BIG shoutout to the band Halogens! I am looking forward to following your success in 2022! Cheers fellas!
