These days, we should take any opportunity to laugh a little, and we have some New Jersey people who know how to make us laugh more than most.

So we thought we would take a minute to pay tribute to some of the great New Jersey performers who have made us laugh over the years.

Lou Costello. Paterson-born Lou Costello is best known for his work with Bud Abbott and the "Who's On First" skit, but he was hysterical throughout his entire legendary career.

Jason Alexander. It just took one amazing part on Seinfeld to make Jason Alexander a legendary comedy name, but his career includes much more than that. He was born in Newark.

Jerry Lewis. Another comic legend, and a man who dedicated his life to raising funds to battle Muscular Dystrophy. He will be remembered for his hysterical physical humor as well as his incredible charity work.
