Freehold man tied to string of burglaries in Barnegat

Barnegat Police have found the man allegedly responsible for a rash of burglaries last month and it's a man who has since found himself in jail on other charges.

After a month long investigation, Barnegat Sergeant MaryAnn Cirulli signed complaints against 35-year old Timothy Isaksen for multiple offenses in connection with burglary and theft incidents from February.

Police say that during the early morning hours of February 3, officers responded to reports that cash, medication and numerous credit/debit cards and other items had been stolen from several parked, unsecured vehicles.

Sergeant Cirulli developed evidence that led her to investigate video surveillance footage from a local Wawa.

Upon review of video police issued an alert on their social media pages in an attempt to identify the suspect.

A concerned citizen contacted Barnegat Police after seeing the post on Facebook and provided information that led to the identification of Isaksen.

Sergeant Cirulli has since found out that Isaksen was already lodged in the Monmouth County Jail on unrelated charges.

Isaksen is now also being charged with 3 counts of computer criminal activity, burglary and theft from his alleged thefts in Barnegat.
