Usually, if something sounds too good to be true, it is.

Odds are, you're going to end up buying a timeshare, right?

So when I saw that there was a Shoprite that was advertising they were giving away free eggs for one day, I thought there was no way it could be true.

Turns out, I was wrong.

I saw a report on the news the other day that the national average for a dozen eggs was down this month from last month.

However, I'm still seeing eggs priced at $6 a dozen, and $4 for a half dozen, which is just an insane price.

Even at places that are supposed to be 'discount' grocery stores, the prices are still pretty high for eggs.

There's a Shoprite getting ready to open a new location in Watchung on April 13th, off Route 22.

According to My Central Jersey, as part of their grand opening celebration, they've been advertising that you can get a free dozen eggs

In addition to other door prizes, the first 250 people through the door of the new Shoprite will receive a free dozen eggs, which will go a long way to attract people to the new store.
