Six Flags Announces It's Opening A New Rollercoaster

It's called Flash; Vertical Velocity and it's a super boomerang coaster that has a 180-degree twist drop with a zero-G rollback to a vertical tower.

According to Patch, The Flash was originally supposed to open up this past Memorial Day Weekend just in time for a fun summer at the Jersey Shore.

However, it no longer looks like that's going to be the case.

Six Flags Announced The Grand Opening Of The Flash Has Been Delayed

According to Patch, the cause for the delay is twofold; firstly there were some delays with construction which is pushing the grand opening date back by almost a year.

Since there were construction delays, safety concerns also came into play; you don't want to rush any type of construction that could result in dangerous ride performance.

It's a real bummer that this new coaster is getting delayed, especially for people who are huge coaster buffs, but would you rather construction be rushed and have the ride not be as safe as it could be?
