Keep Your Car Running Smoothly In The Summer Heat
But there are ways to try and counteract these problems and make sure your ride goes smoothly all summer long.
- Fluid Levels: make sure you're always topping off your fluids, from windshield wiper fluid to coolant, and brake fluid, make sure your car stays topped off
- Cooling Systems: Have your AC and other cooling systems checked out by a trusted professional
- Battery Inspection: You should do this regardless of heat, but have your battery checked out every 2-3 years. If it's not producing enough volts, it may be time to change it out.
- Emergency Kit: Always have some sort of emergency kit in your car; things like water, jumper cables, some non-perishable food, flares, and a first aid kit would make up a really good basic emergency kit.
Driving in Jersey can be stressful enough, so follow those simple steps to make sure you have a safe drive this summer.
