Deal Beach Cleared After Shark Sighting
Deal beach-goers were ordered to stay out of the water after a report that a shark was spotted.
Deal police say the 6- to 7-foot shark was seen about 100 yards off the Deal Casino on Thursday morning.
Swimmers were allowed back in the surf around 12:45pm because there had been no sightings within the hour.
The shark was last seen headed north toward Long Branch following a school of dolphins. No reports have been made in towns north of Deal, but we'll update you as we get info.
