Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and that means love is in the air. If you are in love, you can't wait to celebrate it, and if you aren't, you may be looking for love.

And when you are looking for love, it all starts with that first date. And that first date starts with somebody asking somebody out on that first date. and in New Jersey, we like to do things our own way, and more specifically, we like to say things our own way.

And it's because of that "uniqueness" we possess, some very simple first date requests that come in out in a very "Jersey" way.

And I'm not making fun of it. On the contrary. I think that these little idiosyncrasies are extremely endearing. And I think most of us agree that we like to hear people speak the way we speak, and the way we heard people speak when we were growing up.

So, maybe when someone asks us out in that Jersey way, it actually gives the asker a little bit of an advantage. And in my mind, there's nothing wrong with that.

After all, where else can you get asked out these ways?
