COPS, the long-running television show, is set to film in New Jersey this summer.

Paterson police director Jerry Speziale confirmed that he went before the municipal council on Tuesday outlining a plan for the show to film for ten weeks starting in late July.

The show has previously shot in Paterson, following Passaic County Police officers.

The town's agreement with the producers of the show, Langley Productions, includes a million-dollar insurance clause. City officials also have twenty days to view, approve or disapprove scenes filmed for the show before it airs.
