Chicken Parm is a serious business in New Jersey, whether it's as an entree or on a sandwich, Jersey loves a solid chicken parm. I'm a huge fan of the chicken parm sub at Angelina's in Lavallette. It's big enough that two people can split just one sandwich, and on top of that, the fresh breaded chicken cutlet is smothered in cheese and topped with a vodka parm sauce. It'll change your life.

New Jersey isn't the only state obsessed with chicken parm, by the way. Growing up in Pennsylvania, we were huge chicken parm fans. My dad, in particular, keeps a running list of the best chicken parms he's ever had, and despite the fact that he lives in Pennsylvania, his number one spot for chicken parm is in Woodbine, New Jersey.

If you're not familiar with Woodbine, it's a small town in South Jersey that's 10 minutes or so from Sea Isle City. My family used to have a summer campsite at Carol Lynn Resorts, which is where we found out about Jersey's best chicken parm.

Dionysus In Woodbine, NJ, Has The Best Chicken Parm According To My Dad

On the main drag in Woodbine, there's a little restaurant called Dionysus, and they do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And according to my father, the biggest chicken parm fan I know, Dionysus has the best chicken parm not just in Jersey, but in the tri-state area.

The portions are huge, the chicken cutlet is fried to perfection, and most importantly, the sauce to cheese to chicken ratio is right where it needs to be.

Honestly, I've never had a bad meal at Dionysus, so next time you're headed to South Jersey, you should totally check this place out, and I recommend the chicken parm.
