I think this is absolutely horrible what is happening to the TV classics, "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown", "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", and "A Charlie Brown Christmas", that they will not be aired on WABC-TV this year after 50+ years.

It was just announced this week that WABC-TV will not air the Peanuts holiday classics and they will be streamed exclusively on Apple+ TV

Viewers deserve to see them where they belong; on network TV. Not everyone subscribes to streaming services.

I know for a fact that if some of my older relatives were still alive today, they would not be able to watch these timeless shows, and they would be very disappointed.

Apple TV+ will be making the holiday classics free to everyone for a limited amount of time...But it's not the same in my opinion.

According to the LA Times:

The Halloween special is already available but will be streamed for free on Apple TV+ from Oct. 30 until Nov. 1. Likewise, the Thanksgiving special will stream for Apple TV+ subscribers beginning Nov. 18 but will be offered for free Nov. 25-27. Same goes for the iconic 1965 Christmas special, which will stream exclusively on Apple TV+ on Dec. 4. Its limited window for free viewing will run a bit earlier than Christmas, Dec. 11-13.
