Brian May Facing Possible Cancer Scare

Brian May recently dealt with back issues, and now he might be facing more serious physical problems.

Apparently, according to ultimateclassicrock.com, the MRI May had for those back concerns has uncovered some "abnormalities".

So far, the tests have ruled out cancer, but May is not quite out of the woods yet.

In a post he wrote Monday, thanking fans for their support, he revealed that he was going for another scan later that day, and they still haven’t figured out “what those things on the MRI’s are.”

"Now, on hearing the 'C' word something happens inside you... of course. I've seen so many of my dear friends fighting it... and my dad lost his battle at age 66, exactly the age I am now."

Nine News Entertainment reports that May said he was "overwhelmed by the amazing messages" of support from fans, adding: "I thank you all from the bottom of my heart."
