To quote a great movie, it's "Back To The Future" for a Jersey Shore theater.

The legendary ShowRoom Cinema in Bradley Beach sadly closed its doors last year due to pandemic restrictions and fears keeping moviegoers away.

Luckily a very innovative company called Cinema Lab has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help revive the theater. As of this writing, they've raised $10,000 to build what Cinema Lab is calling 'a community-based cinematic experience.'

Regardless of the generous donations, ShowRoom will be completely remodeled and rebranded as 'The Bradley." It's expected the theater will be open for business this summer.

A lot is changing, but all for the better. The ShowRoom which had been a Bradley Beach staple since 1915 when it was the Palace Theatre will go from one screen to three screens. Independent and first-run popular films will be offered. The theater will also have a swanky lounge and serve alcohol.

'The Bradley' will also have event space for live performances and community programming.

Actor and producer Patrick Wilson, a Montclair local and Cinema Lab partner said in a statement:

From first-run films to live performances, the revamped Bradley will be leading the charge with the latest technology and a hometown feel, while providing a boutique theatrical experience for Bradley Beach and the surrounding community. Getting into this side of the business has been a passion project of mine for a long time and I’m excited that I can contribute in my own backyard. Can't wait to see you at the movies in ‘21!

I can't wait to check out 'The Bradley' this summer!
