Another Whale Was Found Washed Ashore At This Popular NJ Beach
New Jersey is a state that's filled with natural beauty, from our beaches to our parks, small towns to big cities, New Jersey is truly a special state.
Something I've always thought was amazing about Jersey was the amount of whale sightings that we have.
It seems like you can't go a single day without someone posting a picture on any number of Jersy Shore Facebook groups featuring a behemoth whale breaking through the surface of the Atlantic, just a short distance from the shore.
It's something that will never get old.
Sadly, it seems like we've also seen an increase in the number of whales that end up getting beached on our shores, it's a concerning problem that continues to happen.
Another Whale Was Found Washed Ashore Near Cape May, NJ
Near Cape May, there's a small beach area called Sunset Beach.
It's a great place to watch the sunset (as the name implies) and is also the site of the sunken concrete ship the SS Atlantus.
It's also the site of the latest beached whale in Jersey.
It's a sight we all hate to see, but according to NJ.com, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center was called late Tuesday afternoon after reports of a whale washed ashore were called in.

As of now, we don't have much information on the beached whale like age, or species all we know is that it was a small whale that washed ashore.
This seems to be happening more and more often at the Jersey Shore, and it's incredibly frustrating.
