Beach Haven West, NJ teen charged after crashing car into house in Manahawkin, NJ
A 17-year-old from Beach Haven West is facing several charges after crashing his vehicle into a home on Mermaid Drive in the Ocean Acres section of Manahawkin in Stafford Township last Saturday evening.
Stafford Police said that the driver and everyone inside the white Honda Civic fled the scene on foot before the responding officer arrived at the scene.
While the home sustained extensive damage, police said, nobody in the house was injured as a result of the crash, nor to any of the passengers in the vehicle.
The investigation by Stafford Police led to the identification of 17-year-old Christian Capone of Beach Haven West, who was later found at his home.
Capone was then issued numerous motor vehicle summonses including Failure to Maintain Lane, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage, and Failure to Report an Accident.
Stafford Police said Capone is scheduled to appear in the Stafford Township Municipal Court at a time and date in the future.
