A Bayville man is charged with burglary and theft after looting several lockers at Tilton Fitness in the Meridian Health Village on South Cooks Bridge Road in Jackson last week.

Jackson Police responded to the Meridian Health Village on Friday afternoon July 5 on the report that a suspect in multiple burglaries to lockers in Tilton Fitness was at the gym.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified and initially placed under arrest for driving with a suspended driver’s license and transported to police headquarters.

As a Detective investigated what happened, a search of the 2011 Hyundai the suspect had been driving was conducted and multiple individually packaged bags of marijuana were recovered from the vehicle.

Detectives were able to link the suspect to multiple locker burglaries committed in the gym and also a residential burglary which occurred at a Bennetts Mills Road residence on June 13.

Investigators responded to the suspect’s residence where they were able to recover proceeds from the burglaries.

Antunee Adams, 23, was charged with five counts of burglary and theft, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance while operating a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license.

He was processed and later lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
