Asbury Park To Raise Parking Rates

A report published on Asbury Park's website outlined the proposed rate increases for the town's parking meters.

In the Business District, Peak Season rates will go up Monday through Friday from 5pm til midnight, and twenty-four hours on Saturday and Sunday.  The "Peak Season" is defined as May 15th through September 15th.  Off-peak rates stay the same, except for parking on Cookman Avenue on Friday nights and all weekend.

In the Waterfront Area, weekday rates remain the same for Off-Peak Season, but will rise to $2 per hour from 5pm to 12am Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday during the peak season. Parking along Ocean Avenue is going up to $3 per hour.
