AC/DC Drummer Arrested For Hiring A Hitman

According to a New Zealand news site, Phil Rudd was brought into custody for attempting to have two men killed.

Stuff.co.nz reports that Rudd entered no plea and will return to court in three weeks.  The names of the two men Rudd allegedly wanted to have killed were not released.

Rudd was officially charged with "attempting to procure a murder", along with "threatening to kill" and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.

Rudd was the drummer for AC/DC from 1975 til 1983, then rejoined the band in 1994.
