5 Restaurants That Opened In Ocean County In 2016
If there's one thing that you never have to worry about in Ocean County, it's having a lack of dining options. And 2016 saw a number of new eateries open their doors.
From old favorites to new entries into the market, here's a selection of new restaurants that opened up this year:

June saw something that we haven't seen in quite some time at the Shore - a new standalone Roy Rogers.
The Beachwood Roy's has been an Ocean County fixture for quite some time, and you've been able to enjoy their food at Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike rest stops, but the new restaurant on Brick Blvd was the first new Roy Rogers to open by itself in years.

A long time boardwalk favorite, as of June you no longer had to head out to Seaside Heights or Point Pleasant Beach to enjoy some Kohr's Frozen Custard.
The Hooper Ave store opened right next to the JBJ Soul Kitchen just in time for frozen treat season.

Ok, so this one wasn't totally new if we're being technical about it, but Beachwood's Route 9 QuickChek badly needed an upgrade for quite some time. After a few delays, the brand new, much bigger convenience store opened (amid a few traffic rearrangements) with the addition of a slew of gas pumps too, in July.

A prime piece of Ocean County real estate, the former Tiffany's location on Route 37, finally welcomed a new tenant a few weeks ago.
Tio Juan's Margaritas, a Mexican chain that's mostly focused on New England, made its first foray into the Garden State when they opened their doors at the beginning of November.

And now our list looks into the future. Ok, it's only by a few days, but Mellow Mushroom, a pizza and beer restaurant that's mostly operated in the south and midwest, is getting ready to open their doors as I write this.
In fact, just today they officially announced their grand opening of next Monday, December 19th.
